Delta College Prep Welcomes Back NCAA Commit Jonas Farmen for 2025-26
Delta College Prep Hockey is proud to announce the return of 6’2” power forward Jonas Farmen for the 2025-26 prep season. Farmen was a key contributor to last year’s NAPrepHL National Championship campaign, bringing size, physicality, and timely scoring to the lineup.
After beginning the 2024-25 season in Tier 3 juniors, where he played 1 game for the NA3HL Badlands Sabres (recording 1 assist), Farmen left to Delta College Prep just two weeks into the year. The move proved to be the right fit, as he posted 8 goals and 8 assists for 16 points in 39 games, solidifying his role as an impact forward.
Farmen’s development has already paid dividends—he is committed to Hiram College (NCAA Division III) for the 2027-28 season and is actively drawing interest from Tier 2 junior programs for 2026-27, further highlighting Delta’s ability to provide exposure and advancement opportunities for its players.
General Manager David Dew praised Jonas’ growth and trajectory:
“Jonas came to us last year from Tier 3 junior hockey, and we quickly wanted to get him out and on the right path. He plays a very specific, physical style that teams at higher levels require. Since joining us, Jonas has made an NCAA Division III commitment and is speaking with multiple Tier 2 junior programs for 2026-27 prior to his freshman year at Hiram. I’m very proud and impressed with the strides he has made.”
Head Coach Mitch Gillespie added:
“Jonas was a difference-maker last season, using his size and strength to create space and wear down opponents. He’s tough to play against, brings a physical edge, and also has the offensive instincts to contribute on the scoresheet. His NCAA commitment is well-deserved, and we’re excited to see him build on last year’s success.”
