Delta College Prep is currently welcoming applications from families interested in hosting student-athletes who have relocated to pursue elite Junior and college hockey development. For many of our players, this marks their first time living away from home, making a supportive and structured household environment essential to their success on and off the ice.

We are committed to building a trusted and well-organized billet program that gives players a positive living experience while they train and compete throughout the season. Hosting a Delta athlete isn’t just about providing a room—it’s about offering mentorship, consistency, and a sense of belonging.

What It Means to Be a Host Family

As a host family, you become a vital part of a player’s journey. Your home becomes their home base during the season, helping them stay focused on their goals while adjusting to life in a new city. Over time, these relationships often grow into lasting friendships with players and their families.

Delta’s billet placements are carefully managed ensuring that each player is matched with a household that meets their needs and values. We strive to make sure every placement is a good fit—for both the family and the athlete.

Expectations for Host Families

To participate in the billet program, host families must:

• Complete all required background checks and SafeSport certifications
• Agree to a shared expectations contract (coordinated by the head coach and billet coordinator)
• Provide a furnished, private or shared bedroom (only with another player)
• Establish reasonable household rules and reinforce team expectations such as curfew, conduct, and guest limits
• Offer guidance, encouragement, and a stable living environment

In Appreciation of Your Support

Families who open their homes to Delta players will:

• Receive a monthly stipend of $450, paid by the player’s family
• Gain the opportunity to support a student-athlete’s dream of playing Junior or NCAA hockey
• Build meaningful, long-term relationships with high-character young players and their families
