Delta College Prep Acquires 2006 Aiden Ienco from GOJHL
Delta College Prep Hockey is proud to announce the return of 2006-born forward Aiden Ienco for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Ienco comes to us fresh off the Fort Erie Meteors (GOJHL) training camp roster, proving himself as a legitimate prospect for 2026-27 while gaining valuable exposure to one of Canada’s most reputable junior hockey leagues. His experience highlights how Delta College Prep develops players who are just one step away from top-level junior hockey opportunities at levels much higher than U.S. Tier 3.
Despite battling through injuries last season, Ienco showcased his resilience and determination. In 25 games with Delta College Prep, he recorded 2 goals and 12 assists for 14 points, while establishing himself as an extremely physical forward who is not afraid to mix it up.
Head Coach Mitch Gillespie shared:
“Aiden’s game is built on speed, grit, and compete level. Even while battling through injuries last season, he showed tremendous resilience and continued to impact games with his forecheck, physicality, and ability to create pressure. His time with Fort Erie speaks to the path he’s on, and we’re looking forward to a big season from him.”
General Manager David Dew added:
“Last year we had the pleasure of hosting Aiden on our inaugural roster, both our staff and his teammates were massive fans. Aiden will hit anything, he’s top-three in foot speed on any team he’s on, and he’s a relentless forechecker. He also has a great reputation for standing up for his teammates something we highly value. Aiden is a prime prospect for Tier 2 junior and NCAA hockey. We/I are honored to have him back."
