2007 Forward John Macchiorola Signs With DCP from USPHL Premier

Delta College Prep is proud to announce the addition of John Macchiorola, a heavily scouted 5’10” forward from Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

A dynamic player with a strong offensive foundation and a noticeable physical presence, Macchiorola joins Delta after spending the past three seasons with the Bold City Battalion of the USPHL. Over 63 games, he accumulated 70 penalty minutes, consistently demonstrating his gritty edge, competitiveness, and willingness to play hard in contested areas.

Head Coach Mitch Gillespie commented on the addition:

“We’re excited to welcome John Macchiorola to Delta. John plays our style of hockey to a tee—a tough, physical forward who isn’t afraid to own the middle of the ice and battle for every inch. We believe he’ll make an immediate impact and bring a strong presence to our group.”

“We’ve been speaking with Johnny since the summer, and he fits our playing style perfectly. He makes body contact on every play and brings his physical presence every shift. John has a strong skill base, and I’m confident he can produce offensively while maintaining Delta’s gritty style of hockey. We’re happy we stayed persistent and believe this move will help garner him Tier II and college attention.”
