DCP Signs 2008 Goaltender Sean Sherboneau from EOJHL

Delta College Prep Hockey is proud to welcome 6’0” goaltender Sean Sherboneau to the program for the 2025–26 season. A native of Watertown, New York, Sherboneau brings extensive experience from the Tier 1 AAA circuit, where he has competed from 14U through 16U.

Last season, Sean suited up for Crystal Beach Academy’s 16U program, playing 31 games and posting a 3.00 GAA with a .904 save percentage. Before joining Delta, he also spent time in the EOJHL (Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League)—a highly competitive Junior B league in Ottawa that develops players for the CCHL.

Since arriving in Columbus, Sherboneau has already made an impact, appearing in multiple games for the College Prep team and recording an impressive .911 save percentage early in the season.

General Manager David Dew shared:

“Sherbs was a perfect candidate when we needed to bring in a goalie on short notice, the cards fell perfectly where his needs and ours aligned. Sean’s film and EOJHL Junior B résumé quickly impressed me. His tracking ability through high-end scoring opportunities is worth noting. He has the capability to make 40 saves a game if needed, and I highly endorse his crease efficiency, using every inch of that six-foot frame at perfect depth.”

Head Coach Mitch Gillespie added:

“Sean brings experience, composure, and compete level to our crease. His background in Midget and Junior B hockey shows in how he reads the play and controls rebounds. He’s calm under pressure and has already earned the trust of his teammates with consistent performances.”
