Delta College Prep Re-Signs 07 Sebastian Benedetto from UT1HL
Delta College Prep Hockey is ecstatic to announce the re-signing of 2007-born forward Sebastian Benedetto for the 2025-26 season. A native of Long Island, New York, Benedetto is no stranger to the program after playing a key role in Delta’s National Championship run last season.
During the 2024-25 campaign, Benedetto appeared in 41 games, recording 8 goals and 12 assists in his first full year of Tier 1 / Prep hockey. Known for his elite acceleration, speed, and quick transition play, he consistently created scoring chances and established himself as one of the most dynamic forwards in the lineup.
Benedetto briefly began this season with the New Hampshire Avalanche 18U AAA program, competing in both the UT1HL and BEAST circuits, before returning to Columbus to rejoin Delta College Prep for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.
General Manager David Dew shared:
“Sebastian was a key component of our National Championship run last season. His acceleration with and without the puck is among the best in the North American Prep Hockey League. With poise and composure, Seb has the ability to be on the scoresheet often. He’s a model player and teammate for our locker room, culture, and on-ice product. I’m extremely happy to have him back.”
Head Coach Mitch Gillespie added:
“Seb brings speed, energy, and consistency every night. His pace of play fits perfectly within our system, and his ability to attack off the rush makes him a constant threat. Having him back in our lineup strengthens both our forward depth and team identity.”
