Delta College Prep Welcomes Back 2007 Defenseman Tony Guadagno from USPHL Premier

Delta College Prep Hockey is proud to announce the return of 2007-born defenseman Tony Guadagno, who rejoins the program after beginning the season in the USPHL Premier with the Rockets Hockey Club, where he appeared in 7 games.

Guadagno was a major difference-maker during Delta’s NAPrepHL National Championship run last season, recording 2 goals and 16 assists for 18 points in 41 games. Widely respected across the league, Tony earned the distinction of NAPrepHL Academic Player of the Year, further solidifying his reputation as a well-rounded student-athlete.

Standing out as a physical, shutdown defenseman, Guadagno consistently brought poise, leadership, and high-end defensive awareness to the blue line. His return adds experience, toughness, and elite hockey IQ to Delta’s back end as the team pushes through the 2025–26 campaign.

General Manager David Dew shared:

“We could not be more excited to bring T back into our program. He is a natural-born leader and demonstrates a strong voice in a locker room that includes younger players. His skill set is obvious and supported by his extensive AAA resume. Tony carries himself in an extremely professional manner every day, regardless of the setting. He had no issues performing as a top-four defenseman for us last season, and the only direction for him from here is up.”

Head Coach Mitch Gillespie added:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Tony Guadagno back—a smooth-skating, high-IQ, physical presence on the blue line. Tony is a polished defenseman who consistently tilts the ice in our favor defensively, leading by example and pulling his teammates into the fight with him. We couldn’t be more excited to have him rejoin our group.”
