Delta College Prep’s Jonas Farmen Commits to NCAA Division III Hiram College
Delta Hockey and Delta College Prep are proud to formally congratulate 2007-born senior forward Jonas Farmen on his verbal commitment to play NCAA Division III hockey at Hiram College in Cleveland, Ohio, beginning in the 2028–29 season.
Jonas will leverage this season with the College Prep team, prior to securing a spot with a Tier II junior program before making the transition to college hockey.
Now in his second season with Delta College Prep, Jonas appeared in 39 games last year, recording 16 points. Through 13 games this season, he has 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists). The 6’2” two-way forward continues to make his mark physically and defensively, while consistently contributing on the scoresheet.
This commitment marks Delta College Prep’s third NCAA advancement in just two years—a milestone few programs at the prep or Tier III junior level can match in such a short time. Jonas is among several Delta players expected to advance to college or Tier II junior hockey this season.
Jonas Farmen (Senior, #28):
“I am excited to announce my commitment to play NCAA Division III hockey and continue my academic career at Hiram College. I want to thank my family and friends for their love and support, and a special thank-you to Coach Curto and Delta College Prep for the opportunity.”
Mitch Gillespie, Head Coach:
“Huge congratulations to Jonas Farmen on his commitment to play Division III hockey at Hiram College. His work ethic sets the tone for our group, and there’s no doubt he’ll be a force at the next level. We’re excited to see all that’s ahead for him.”

“This is a huge milestone for both Jonas and our program. He’s a natural leader who gives everything every day and has earned this NCAA opportunity. I’m grateful for the time he’s spent with us and know he’ll excel at the junior level before heading to Hiram. Thank you to Coach Curto for partnering with us on this advancement, and congratulations to the Farmen family.”
